This section answers common questions about using VO2Coach for both coaches and athletes.

If you don’t find what you’re looking for, contact your coach or reach out through the app.

General

What is VO2Coach?

VO2Coach is a training platform for endurance sports that helps coaches and athletes plan training, track execution, and review performance using activity data and structured workflows.

Who is VO2Coach for?

VO2Coach is designed for:

  • Coaches managing one or more athletes
  • Athletes following a structured training plan

The platform is not intended for self-coached athletes without a coach.

Is VO2Coach free?

Access to VO2Coach depends on your team or coach.

Coaches typically manage teams at no cost, while athletes may require an active subscription depending on their team setup.

Which sports are supported?

VO2Coach currently focuses on endurance sports such as:

  • Running
  • Cycling
  • Triathlon (by discipline)

Support for additional sports may be added over time.

Accounts & Access

I didn’t receive an invitation email. What should I do?

  • Check your spam or junk folder
  • Confirm the email address with your coach
  • Ask your coach to resend the invitation

Can I use VO2Coach without a coach?

No. VO2Coach is built around the coach–athlete relationship.

If you are looking for a self-coaching app, VO2Coach may not be the right fit.

Can one athlete belong to multiple teams?

At the moment, athletes are managed within a single active team.

This may evolve as the product matures.

Activities & Integrations

How are activities added to VO2Coach?

Activities can be added in two ways:

  • Automatically via connected platforms (e.g. Garmin)
  • Manually, if enabled by the coach

Why don’t I see my activity?

Common reasons include:

  • The activity platform is not connected
  • Sync is still in progress
  • The activity was recorded incorrectly

Try refreshing the app or waiting a few minutes. If the issue persists, contact your coach.

Can I edit or delete an activity?

In general:

  • Activities synced from external platforms reflect the original data
  • Manual activities can be edited by the athlete or coach

Editing rules may vary by team.

Training Plans & Workouts

What’s the difference between a training plan and a workout?

  • A training plan defines the overall structure over time (weeks and days)
  • A workout is a specific session within that plan

What if I don’t follow a workout exactly?

Perfect execution is not required.

Small differences are normal and expected. Coaches focus on:

  • Overall effort
  • Intent of the session
  • Trends over time

Can coaches change workouts after they are assigned?

Yes. Coaches can adjust upcoming workouts and plans as needed.

Changes are part of the coaching process.

Metrics & Data

Which metrics should I focus on?

That depends on your sport and coaching approach.

Your coach will usually guide you on:

  • Pace, speed, or power
  • Heart rate zones
  • Time in zones
  • Consistency and trends

Some metrics look confusing. Is that normal?

Yes.

VO2Coach exposes detailed data, but not all metrics are equally important for every athlete. Focus on what your coach emphasizes.

Product & Support

VO2Coach feels incomplete. Is that expected?

Yes.

VO2Coach is an early-stage product and improves continuously. Features may change or evolve based on feedback.

How can I report a bug or request a feature?

The best way is through the app.

Your feedback helps shape future improvements.

Is my data safe?

VO2Coach takes data security seriously and uses standard industry practices to protect user data.

Specific security details may evolve as the platform grows.
